The report deals with the recent progress in the theory of asymptotically forbidden optical transitions in quasimolecule. The influence of atomic interaction on spectral line shapes is discussed within the Demkov model as well as the uniform approximation and a semiclassical trajectory approach [1]. The optical transition Ca(4s 3d 1D - 4s2 1S0) - He is discussed to illustrate all three approaches. The general uniform approach is extended to a more informative process of differential scattering of atoms [2]. The specific analytical calculations of the differential cross section have been performed for the reaction He(21S) + Ne → He(ls2 1S0) + Ne + hν as a function of frequency ν.
