Resonant tunnelling lifetimes in multi-barrier structures - complex rotation approach. M. Bylicki, W. Jaskolski, and R. Oszwaldowski Instytut Fizyki UMK, Grudziadzka 5, 87-100 Torun, Poland Abstract The application of complex rotation method, widely used in theoretical atomic spectroscopy, is presented here to study energies and lifetimes of resonant tunnelling in double-barrier heterostructures within applied electric field. The method gives very accurate results and they are compared with the ones obtained by other methods. Possible applications of this method to study resonant states in various low-dimensional structures are discussed.
